Hobson Prior are currently seeking for a Senior Clinical Pharmacology Scientist to join a brilliant biotech establishment on a permanent basis located in Basel. Our client is focused on changing the lives of many suffering from serious illnesses.Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.Key Responsibilities
  • For this role, you will be accountable for clinical pharmacology sectors in regulatory papers and at exchanges with regulatory authorities throughout all stages of drug development.
  • Responsible for clinical pharmacology tactics and actions in allocated clinical projects.
  • Outline suitable methods for clinical pharmacology/translational medicine, clinical PK, PK/PD and M&S in clinical development plans.
  • Partake and decide on the biomarker method in clinical programs.
  • The ideal candidate will supervise the model-based drug development (MBDD) is implemented in clinical programs when clinically applicable.
  • Guarantee translational features are taken into account and that pre-clinical and clinical PK/PD information are optimally used and integrated into early and late phase development.
  • You will serve as a representative for clinical pharmacology on project core teams.
  • Any other assigned duties.

Requirements
  • Educated to a PhD degree level in a pertinent scientific discipline with at least 8 years of experience in clinical pharmacology research or educated to a master’s degree level in a pertinent scientific discipline with at least 10 years of experience in clinical pharmacology research, all ideally within a pharmaceutical organisation.
  • Know-how in pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) notion and its incorporation into the process of making decisions.
  • Knowledge of ground-breaking PK and PK/PD modelling and simulation techniques.
  • Acquaintance with PK/PD analysis and modelling software such as Phoenix or similar.
  • Prior involvement with nonlinear mixed effects modelling and modelling software such as NONMEM and R which would be advantageous.
  • Comprehension of the drug-development procedure, and problems specific to clinical pharmacology of biotechnology products.
  • Familiarity with biologic and small molecules.
  • Know-how of regulatory needs and acquaintance with regulatory proposals and exchanges which involves planning of pertinent documents for exchanges with regulatory authorities rendering to clinical pharmacology matters.
  • Fluency in the English language.
