We are looking for Senior Cloud and Release Engineerto join our team! As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be part of a team to improve and enhance the tools that our data scientists use. Our platform is a one-of-a-kind globally distributed information system that brings together hospitals and labs to provide data ingestion and processing, analysis and modeling, reporting and intelligence, distribution and sharing of a multitude of complex sources of structured and unstructured data, including genomics, imaging, and clinical data, delivered as a multi-tenant SaaS platform on the cloud.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Design and implement tools that leverage on Azure APIs to facilitate and scale Data Science’s everyday work
• Implement Continuous Integration systems that improve Data Science testing and development
• Continue the infrastructure development using infrastructure as code leveraging on azure services
• Create and automatize procedures / workflows to access SOPHiA Genetics research & development dataset
• Upgrade and expand the security of our internal data access system

Education & Working experience

• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Bioinformatics or equivalent professional experience
• 4+ years working developing cloud applications on the following technologies

• Cloud: Azure preferred. GCP or AWS valuable.

• DevOps experience: Gitlab CI/CD and Kubernetes

• IaaS: Ansible, Terraform and Packer

• Backend / scripting: Python or Node

• Preferably experienced in working in domains of data science/bioinformatics and working in healthcare regulations (GxP, IVD).

Other Experience & Skills

• Communicate effectively
• Autonomous. You should be able to attack a problem on your own with the help of your team.
• Analytical thinking. You should always think on how to optimize an issue.
• Interest in containerization and workflow automatization
• Experience with Purview and Azure AD
• Experience in the design and development of internal tools
• Experience writing documentation for final users
