Within Strategy and Transactions, our Transaction Strategy and Execution (TS&E) team of EY Parthenon provides a full range of operationally focused services including M&A Integration, Carve-Out, Operational and IT Due Diligence and Operational Restructuring. Transaction Strategy and Execution works with cross-functional teams made up of members of both the acquiring and acquired organizations.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • In your role as Senior Consultant, you will work on integrations, carve-outs, corporate restructuring and other types of M&A transactional engagements in project teams directly with our clients
  • You will be exposed to a variety of industries (e.g. lifescience, consumer products and retail, industrial products) and functional areas, with strong focus on IT
  • A wide range of strategy and M&A transactional topics will be under your responsibilities (e.g. IT due diligence, IT operating model design, integration/separation blueprint design, exit readiness, day 1/100 readiness, synergy assessment, transitional service agreement (TSA) etc.)
  • A key role of your position will be in gathering / assessing information and communicating recommendations to a member of the team or a client
  • You will be working alongside the client on planning and executing any topics of an M&A deal life cycle and in collaboration with the wider project team
  • You will help build an open and inclusive work environment and support to maintain professional relationship with our clients

Skills And Attributes For Success

To qualify for the role you must have
  • A degree in business, engineering, computer science or related field with top grades
  • At least 3 -5 years of applicable industry and/or consulting work experience, ideally in topics concerning an M&A deal lifecycle
  • IT experience including strategy, infrastructure, applications, databases and networks
  • Strong record of leadership, sharp logical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills in an academic, professional or extracurricular setting
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing, in English and in at least 2 languages among German, French and Italian
  • Solid project management skills, client-oriented attitude and ability and willingness to travel to the client site
  • Readiness to learn and develop new skills
