SENIOR CONTROLLER (M/F/D) 80-100% WITH INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PERSPECTIVE

What’s the role?

We are looking for a committed Senior Controller (m/f/d) with a passion for finance business partnering and an interest to further develop within the Hilti Group. You will be responsible for financial controlling in Switzerland while being prepared for your future management career at Hilti through various projects.

What does the role involve?

As Senior (Finance) Controller, you are orchestrating the entire performance steering processes for the Sales Organization of Hilti Switzerland and actively contribute to identify business potentials, business risks as well as opportunities for process improvements. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation, coordination, and execution of the rolling forecasts (FP&A) process, all cost controlling activities as well as pro-actively steering the organization’s P&L.

Furthermore, you will play a central role in the monthly closing processes, collaborating with the local financial accounting department and the regional Shared Service Center. Applying your IFRS accounting knowledge, you will act as sparring partner to ensure operational excellence in financial closing processes.

Moreover, you will act as business partner for the Executive Management Team such as the CFO, National Sales Directors & Head of Engineering. You are the first point of contact for questions regarding company performance (Sales, Margin & Profit) and evaluation of business cases.

Through various cross-functional and international projects, you will also have plenty of opportunities to apply your conceptual skills in a targeted manner to develop and implement solutions independently and/or as part of a team.

What you need is:

Master’s degree or doctorate in Business Administration, Economics or similar, ideally with a focus on finance & accounting

At least 3 years of professional experience in controlling (especially budgeting/rolling forecasting, cost controlling and P&L analysis) or finance/strategy consulting

Experience in project work, audit, (IFRS) accounting, or sales controlling is an advantage

Fluent English, good German or French skills, other languages advantageous

Very good MS Office skills are required (especially Excel, PowerPoint), experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Objects, or PowerBi would be an advantage

Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style

Analytical and conceptual way of thinking, strong communication skills

Willingness to develop in an international environment and to take on team leadership in a follow-up position
