Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience identifying cyber threat actors, activities, and tools
  • Experience working in the cyber security intelligence industry
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Shell, Go, and data visualization

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in writing quality intel reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you’re a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. As a Cyber Intelligence Analyst, you will support multiple Google teams with advanced cyber intelligence critical to protecting Google’s users and products. You’ll be responsible for finding and covering a number of sophisticated sources and leads, supporting and executing the analysis and production of high quality intel products, and increasing product security at scale. You will participate in all the stages of the intel cycle and will be encouraged to be creative. In this role, you will work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed.

Responsibilities

  • Collect new sources of intel and identify threats.
  • Assess the needs of different product, abuse, and intel teams and address them with limited guidance.
  • Perform the analysis and produce high-quality reports that provide actionable insights.
