Senior Designer – Cartier Retail Creative Studio

Geneva – Permanent

Retail Creative Studio is a unique creative studio which major mission relies on design and development of various non-saleable products related to client treatment and retail environment worldwide. Each product reflects a deep aesthetic link between Cartier and every different culture while being meaningful, innovative, and bespoke.

The Designer at Retail Creative Studio will also work with the product development managers within the team to conceptualize products, follow the whole timeline of production in touch with suppliers when needed and guarantee fidelity of the product to its initial concept and design.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

• Operate as design lead under the responsibility of Head of Retail Creative Studio.
• Analyze the brief to identify and clarify expectations.
• Communicate on his/her ideas through hand-drawings, 3D renderings, mood-board.
• Generate and refine innovative product concepts from scratch to be translated into new product design.
• Adapt existent design to create similar product variations.
• Deliver concept/product presentation support in required timeline when needed.
• Produce qualitative renderings and product specifications / technical drawings.
• Follow the development of the products he/she designed, modify the design according to technical constraints while guaranteeing the original concept and design.
• Manage his/her priorities autonomously.
• Investigate actively innovative craftsmanship in parallel with creative work to translate in product concept and design.
  
  

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

• You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in luxury industry as product designer
• You have a strong willingness to update job knowledge and the, ability to multitask
• You demonstrate a high level of professional ethics
• You possess strong and qualitative hand-drawing / marker-rendering skills in 2D / 3D
• You master perfectly Photoshop and Illustrator, any 3D software is a plus
• You speak fluently English and French and have excellent written communication skills in both, the knowledge of another European language is an asset.
