We are looking for a highly motivated and skilledSenior Electronics Engineer (occupation 100%) with a strong background in medical devices, affinity for technology and the will to develop a career on the edge of medicine and technology. As we are a start-up, drive and passion for what we work towards, has to be a given.

Activities:

  • Leading/coordinating the system design and hardware development (both in house and with partners) of complex data acquisition/processing systems
  • Support product development and system integration (in a regulated environment)
  • Firmware design and development (FPGAs)
  • HW bring-up (Especially Mixed-signals ASICs)
  • Test and measurement for characterization of individual components of the system
  • Support of other team members with automatization of hardware

Qualifications and skills:

  • PhD or master’s in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • At least 8 years of experience after graduation (at least 5 years of industry experience)
  • Experience with embedded hardware and software, HW/SW partitioning and preferably Xilinx SoC’s development boards
  • Experience in product development (ideally in a regulated environment, e.g., ISO 13485)
  • Knowledge of programming techniques and languages: C/C++, python or similar
  • Knowledge of hardware description languages: VHDL or System Verilog
  • Experience with embedded Linux: boot system, rootfs, kernel modifications (yocto and/or petalinux), build systems and user-space drivers (kernel space is a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with electronics measurement, EMI prevention techniques, low current measurement, characterization of opto-electrical components
  • Experience with bring up and characterization of mixed-signals ASICs
  • English written and spoken
  • Independent and strong in teamwork / team communications
  • Experience as team leader is a plus
  • Knowing Altium Designer is a plus
  • Experience with PCB design is a plus
  • Experience with high-speed digital electronics and image sensors is a plus
