We are seeking aSenior Embedded Systems Engineer(m/f /d) to join our team.Your Mission
  • Designing, developing and implementing firmware and hardware components and integrating these components into robust embedded systems for medical devices, with a focus on firmware design
  • Developing, coaching and supporting of hardware & software engineers as well as actively participate in design reviews as a subject matter expert
  • Actively participating in multiple & international project teams to drive and solve firmware & hardware related hurdles and challenges
  • Developing, guiding, coordinating and driving critical product design steps within international project teams, from requirements to production & commercial deployment, including applied sytems design, selecting robust concepts for firmware architecture, applied control design, rapid prototyping, and robust design documentation.
  • Ensuring that the required designs are available at the right time, in the required quality and at competitive costs.
  • Hands-on rapid prototyping of embedded systems, including the design of customized firmware and hardware, as well as soldering skills for quick & dirty prototypes to evaluate proof-of-concept.
  • Balancing out rapid prototyping / tinkering aspects with the discipline to maintain a project timeline and deliverables, particularly robust design documentation.
  • Applying state-of-the-art hardware / software management methods to ensure efficient collaboration and hardware / firmware quality, including firmware configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, continuous integration / continuous delivery / continuous deployment and state-of-the-art hardware / firmware review practice.
Your qualifications
  • University degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, microtechnology, embedded systems engineering or systems control engineering
  • You are proficient with C-programming based real-time applications for embedded systems and have professional expertise in the field of medical software and firmware
  • Skills in firmware design for embedded systems, including development, coding, code-reviewing, system-integration, debugging, validation / testing and documentation
  • Skills in project management, software development and verification, release and change management as well as technical documentation
  • Experience in projects, cooperation and interdisciplinary teams
  • You will communicate in English and German
  • You are characterized by structured and pragmatic work
