We are the Apple Field Design Engineering team, and we are seeking a highly motivated and technical individual to work on testing unreleased apple products. You will be responsible for evaluating the latest iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch hardware systems, in the field, from early prototype to final products, on different network and wireless technologies, including performance metrics creation/evolution, post processing and analysis of device logs from the field.

Key Qualifications

You have a minimum of 10 years hands-on experience with end to end testing of cellular technologies that includes test plan preparation, field testing, log analysis & debugging UE issues.

You have working experience of antenna design and tests, in particular hands-on experience for compliance measurement is desirable

You have working experience with different wireless communication systems (GMS/UMTS/LTE, 5G NSA, SA, VoNR, SRS is important

Understanding of 5G and 4G 3GPP Standards, or similar Wireless Standards (2G, 3G, WiFI) and competent knowledge on Physical Layer

. Experience in the field as well as working in the Lab (GCF, PTCRB Regulatory validation)

Familiarity with RF test equipments i.e. Anritsu, R&S, Spirent, Agilent/keysight for wireless validation.

You have experience owning a complete functional area of an application or product with clear communication across multiple levels in the organization.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detailed oriented, analytical, able to work independently.

Experience with 5GmmWave Standards and/or hands-on chamber

Experience with Antenna, SAR, TIS, TRP Validation

Experience with RF for 4G/5G Data Path processing

Knowledge of communication theory, wireless standards, Radio Architecture and Interfaces

Experience in real-time tracing systems and Scripting Langages like Objective C, C++ Python, Perl

Machine Learning knowledge


Description

We are looking for someone who will work with the HW/SW development teams and other cross functional teams on identifying issues impacting the Cellular performance.

You will perform deep dive analysis into internal logs to understand and identify root cause of any HW/System issue. You will own a complete functional area of an application or product with clear communication across multiple levels in the organization.


Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s preferred or relevant work experience.
