Senior Finance Analyst DPS EMEA (f/m/d)

Provide finance leadership to the DPS franchise in EMEA by acting as a valued business partner for the Regional Franchise Group. The role includes being the financial partner for the TECA (Trauma and CMF) and Spine platforms for the TECA directly supporting the regional business leaders as well as supporting the regional DPS controller on total franchise deliverables and analytics.

  • Main Responsibilities (The major end results the job is expected to achieve)

DPS EMEA Platforms controller (70%):

Drive financial strategy for the Sports and Shoulder business, play an active role as a co pilot to the business (be their main point of contact for finance support)

Analyse, communicate & review P&L and working capital performance with Regional Platform team and focused markets.

Lead the relationship between Global / Regional and local to provide insights on results, strategy direction and status of execution

Support the Franchise Controller in shaping the new operating Model “Franchise led countries enabled”, liaising with the Global and local teams and ensuring EMEA voice is heard & results are understood by Global. Ensure this process is done in an efficient & effective way.

Play an active role in the EMEA Planning cycles ensuring a) Global has insights on EMEA & b) engage in the target setting process with the regional DPS controller

Provide strong financial leadership & analysis of new business opportunities & other key projects (e.g. Portfolio Rationalization, acquisitions, divestitures). Partner with Business to track execution of these within country & ensure ongoing monitoring

Franchise analytics and deliverables (30%):

End to End responsible for the Investors Relations quarterly reporting

Lead NPI process with Global, regional and local stakeholders

Prepare insightful franchise performance overviews

Provide leadership support in specific franchise analytics

General

Strive for continuous improvement of processes with focus on simplification, standardization, automatization and digitalization

Proactively take responsibility for personal development

Be an inclusive member of the MedTech Regional Finance Team

Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • University Degree
  • Extensive experience and proven track record of financial business partnering with focus on value creation and financial decision making
  • Good understanding of Commercial finance processes and compliance
  • Ability to work in a virtual matrix environment and to influence stakeholders as well as business partners
  • Ability to zoom in and out on business topics and present results at operational as well as executive level of the organization
  • Ability to bring clarity to complex business issues and proven success in managing complex projects & processes
  • Fluent in English

Preferred
  • Experience at a similar level, or within a multinational environment. J&J knowledge will be a significant advantage
  • Experience in a matrix environment is a plus
  • Experience with corporate accounting systems (eg JDE, SAP) and proficient spreadsheet skills and automation (Power BI, Tableau…)
