  • Demonstrate deep functional knowledge, had breadth of experiences to work autonomously on the most complex business issues, may assist Leadership with strategy development
  • Proactively analyze business results (vs. forecast, budget and prior year) to identify trends, risks and optimize business results
  • Apply financial analysis tools and work experiences to influence current and future profitability (e.g. financial models, business cases, run rate, advanced data analytics)
  • Reporting package with insight for monthly operating review and /or Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), anticipating logical questions based on content
  • Passion for dynamic start-up environments is a must: self-starter, fast learner, ability to operate independently where ambiguity and time constraints exist. Excited about creating something new -- this isn’t a "back-office", structured finance role with a set of rules to follow. You will be applying your financial acumen to develop structure and innovative processes for the first time, problem solving, and thinking creatively
  • Lead the budget and/or Long Term Plan development. Analyze trends to establish bold yet achievable targets
  • Lead financial analysis as a member of cross functional teams (e.g. work closely with Marketing team, Sales Distribution team, and in analyzing new business opportunities)
  • Anticipate questions and effectively communicate financial performance and results of analysis performed to Senior Finance Leadership and key business partners
  • Proactively seek opportunities to grow (e.g. develop new skills, attend training opportunities, network, feedback)

Additional Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide analysis and deliver analytical insights that link financial reports to business strategies
  • Comfortable creating and maintaining business cases for new business opportunities (ex: DCF models)
  • Support end-to-end Annual Budget and/or Long-Term Planning activities
  • Prepare monthly forecast (Income Statement, Cash Flow, Liquidity), identify impacts and opportunities, and propose ideas to improve profitability and cash flow
  • Develop an understanding of the industry and GM’s European and Global operations to propose finance-focused recommendations to leadership

Required Skills And Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an international finance department
  • Post graduate degree or business qualification is a plus (MSc, MBA, CPA, CA, CMA or equivalent)
  • Excellent financial analytical skills
  • Passion for dynamic start-up environment is a must: self-starter, fast learner, ability to operate independently where ambiguity and time constraints exist
  • Experience with Profit Line Profitability, writing business cases, and maintaining large data sets
  • Demonstrated experience in large ERP’s and Hyperion (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards)
  • Strong customer focus, business acumen, and product knowledge
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Stress-resistant, flexible, well balanced
  • Very good knowledge of MS-Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to maintain existing financial models and create new, flexible ones; including use of array and lookup-type formulas
  • Fluent in English. German (fluent or working knowledge) highly preferred

Location: In a typical week our team works 3 days in the office in Zurich and 2 days from home. Additionally, 40 days per year of fully remote work from abroad/other countries is also permitted
