For our EHQ finance department in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, we are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant

If you are looking to step into an environment which is dynamic, fast moving and would like to develop and grow with the processes of Financial Services then the Senior Financial Accountant is the position for you. You would be joining a high performing Corp. Finance team based in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Switzerland, reporting to the Finance Manager - EHQ.

A Day in the Life

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Actively dealing and participating in month-end GL tasks and activities including journal processing and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Processing of Inter-Company recharges
  • Tracking costs on specific projects across various functions & providing support on expense coding (purchase requisitions review)
  • Reconciliation of payroll and related accounts (pension, taxes, holiday, stock options etc)
  • Participation in Quarterly Balance Sheet review process
  • Supporting the preparation of the quarterly and annual Board of Directors pack
  • Liaising with Business Units and with corporate FP&A departments
  • Analyzing and investigating variances between actual expenses versus forecast
  • Monitoring compliance with company-wide accounting policies and procedures
  • Acting as a back-up to the Finance Manager
  • Other administration tasks / business support and special projects
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Functional / Technical Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and SAP
  • Attention to details and ability to condense and communicate complex information
  • Result oriented with an ability to work across hierarchies and under time-pressure
  • US GAAP/Policies & Procedures
  • Advanced English knowledge, proficiency in German would be an advantage
  • Project management
Education/Experience
  • Degree in Business Administration / Finance / Accountancy
  • Min. 7 years finance experience
  • Proven numeracy and analysis skills
  • Good working knowledge of US GAAP, Swiss GAAP would be an advantage
  • Proficiency in use of Business software - Excel, MS Office, SAP
  • External Audit experience would be an advantage
