Job Purpose

To provide finance leadership to HMT Regional Offices by acting as a valued business partner for one of the HMT franchises. Apply business knowledge and analytics in the investment decision making process and resource allocation with regional management. Role also includes supporting key regional HMT initiatives as required (Divestitures, NPIs, IT investments, etc.).

Main Responsibilities

Regional Office Analyst CSS EMEA (70%)
  • Provide high quality business partnering support to the EMEA CSS Regional Organization
  • Review Functional Budgets and Forecasts together with Business Partners and provide insights into actual results and business performance
  • Present Quarterly Management Review packs with insightful comments to Leadership Teams
  • Collaborate with Functional Teams to see opportunities for savings to reinvest in priority projects
  • Play an active role in the EMEA Planning cycles with close collaboration with the commercial teams
  • Any other ad-hoc activities & projects

CSS EMEA Platform controlling (20%):
  • Provide strong financial leadership and end to end business partner support to one of the platforms by interpreting, communicating & review performance with EMEA Regional teams.
  • Analyse, communicate & review P&L and working capital performance with Regional Platform team and focused markets.
  • Own the relationship between Global, Regional and Local to provide insights on results, strategy direction and status of execution
  • Support the Franchise Controller in shaping the operating Model “Franchise led Country enabled”, collaborating with the Global and local teams and ensuring EMEA voice is heard & results are understood by Global. Ensure this process is done in an efficient & effective way.
  • Provide strong financial leadership & analysis of new business opportunities & other key projects. Partner with Business to track execution of these within country & ensure ongoing monitoring
  • Supervise, analyse and provide interpretation of macroeconomic environment, framing the possible financial implication & develop mitigation plans.

Background information and Main Activities

The location role is recommended to be based in UK, Belgium or Switzerland. Limited travel in EMEA (less than 10%)

Qualifications
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience and proven track record of financial business partnering with focus on value creation and financial decision making
  • Good understanding of Commercial finance processes and compliance
  • Ability to work in a virtual matrix environment with a variety of stakeholders and business partners
  • Ability to present business topics and results at operational as well as executive level of the organization
  • Ability to bring clarity to complex business issues and proven success in managing complex projects & processes
  • Fluent in English

Preferred
  • Experience at a similar level, or within a multinational environment. J&J knowledge will be a significant advantage
  • Experience in a matrix environment is a plus
  • Experience with corporate accounting systems (eg JDE, SAP) and proficient spreadsheet skills and automation (Power BI, Tableau…)
