To support our Research & Development Team in Cham in building the next generation products, we are looking for a highly passionate and result-oriented Senior Firmware Engineer.

In this challenging and rewarding engineering position you will be responsible for firmware development within the ICG product team. These devices serve as a foundation of our future Industrial, Commercial and Grid metering portfolio globally. Together with a team of approx. 15 specialists you will specify, develop, and verify innovative, high-quality embedded software in an agile environment using state of the art tools and processes.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Deliver high quality code that is maintainable, optimized and tested to help build our new products
  • Review changes made by fellow team members and to provide feedback
  • Collaborate between various platform and product teams
  • Coach fellow team members on best practices across the industry
  • Contribute to the firmware architecture to translate functional specifications into software
  • Create tools to assist in performing main duties (testing, debugging, designing, programming, etc.)
  • Keep an overview of technology trends to bring innovative ideas to our new products

Your profile and qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • More than 2 years of practical experience in object-oriented, embedded software development (C++) using an RTOS
  • Good understanding of software design and patterns
  • Experience and interest in agile development methods and practices, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement
  • Analytical, independent, and structured way of working
  • Self-motivated and open-minded team player with a strong will to succeed
  • Previous experience with technical documentation development
  • Fluent in English (verbally and written), German would be an advantage
