We are an early stage startup looking to change the way people plan and share their travel experiences. The first version of our iOS app has launched on the store but now we need to grow, adapt, and bring it to the next level.

We are looking for a web developer who shares our vision and wants to help us improve our product in order to reach more users and improve their lives. We are looking for someone who wants to join the founding team and build the company from the ground up, so if you are looking for a salary at the beginning, this may not be for you.

Tasks
The role is to lead the development of our web application. The web application will be the main avenue for the planning aspect of the travel cycle. Our backend has been developed in Python/Django however the developer who joins our team has the lead on choosing technology best suited for our app. The job is to bring our platform to the next level and therefore it can and will be adapted as needed while we grow. The main responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

• Work together with the other team members to build and implement the product strategy
• Lead the technical implementation of the product roadmap based on internal designs and user feedback
• Build the web app based on the current iOS app and user feedback
• Through testing with the webapp, support the improvements of the iOS app and eventually android app
• Work with the machine learning team to improve app functionality and user experience
• Manage the database and implement methods to improve data quality
• Ensure set up of analytics within the apps to understand user journeys and respond
• Be creative in finding new ways to improve the product and interaction with users

Requirements

We are open to all experienced software developers however a basis in Python, Django, PostgreSQL, API implementation and AWS is a minimum. This full stack developer will be required to be able to work alone or with other development support.

The team is spread across the globe and all working mostly virtually, inclusive of this role. Working time is flexible.
