Role: Solution Architect / Senior Engineer LSS

Location: Guemligen (Muri bei Bern) (Currently remote, normal situation 2 times/week office)

Overview of business area or project

Within SUB IT Value Stream Corporate Banking Products, application Loan Securitizing and Syndication (LSS) processes true sale of loans to external investors. Application covers an end-to-end view on the whole process, monitors product and collateral changes and manages activities related to connected applications.

Regulatory Initiative Como will implement securitization of Lombard Loans for both, regulatory purposes as well as commercial use. This means an enhancement of current LSS application with new product and related monitoring and booking activities. Furthermore, adaptions of dependent processes and applications have to be taken into account.

Key Responsibilities

Senior Solution Engineer realizes as part of respective SCRUM team functionality of new Lombard Loan Securitization part of Loan Securitization and Syndication application (LSS).

This includes to transform end-to-end solution design into concrete implementation, elaboration and clarification of detail requirements on EPIC and Story level, designing, coding, testing and deploying within modern agile environment with strong emphasize on DevOps practices.

Contribution focus lies on functionality provided in high quality and with a strategic view on scalability and maintenance.

Overview of the department

Team Loan Securitization is part of SUB IT Corporate Banking Products. Currently existing squad LSS (10 people) covers application responsibility for Mortgage Loan Securitization, which has been started in 2017. Project team will consist of 9 people.

For new Lombard Loan initiative Como, a specific squad will be established, consisting of experienced people of LSS and new hired technical roles.

SUB IT works in agile approach using SCRUM. All team members are highly committed to delivery, production stability and high quality of provided functionality. Collaboration with Product Owner is tight and characterized by mutual trust.

Challenges Contractor will be facing in this role

• Initiative has a high level of senior management attention
• Program schedule is tight and challenging (MVP available by End of 2022)
• High (technical) integration in existing processes of the bank required
• Quick familiarization with new topic is necessary

Essentials Skills and Qualifications

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent language skills in German and English (written and spoken)
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies like Angular 2+ (preferred), HTML5, React, jQuery or alike
• Possibly experience in the Financial Services industry, best case in a (Swiss) Bank
• Experience in end-to-end testing in credits domain
