And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.For our site in Visp, Switzerland we are looking for a Senior Lab Technician (m/f/d) in the field of mammalian upstream process development with the technical knowledge in this specific area.Key Responsibilities
  • Setup, follow and execute bioreactor runs according to experimental plan.
  • Support other cell culture activities such as sub-cultivation or media preparation.
  • Generate and collect high quality data. Collaborate with individual scientists and laboratory technicians.
  • Contribute to problem solving and lessons learned activities.
  • Participate in the maintenance of laboratory equipment, as well as an active role in the creation of work instructions for laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure adequate maintenance of the workspace and order raw materials and consumables as needed for the project.
Key Requirements
  • BSc in Biotechnology or apprenticeship with several years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in running lab- or pilot-scale stirred-tank bioreactors for mammalian cell culture.
  • Flexibility in supporting other activities within the department and covering weekend work as few times per year.
  • Technical/Business English.
