As our (Senior) Legal Counsel - Legal Pharma Regulatory and Commercial, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and partnering with stakeholders within key workstreams in our Prescription Global Business Unit (GBU), the Global Medical Affairs group within that GBU, the R&D organization, as well as our Aesthetics and Consumer Care GBUs.

Within this challenging and unique role, you will be given the opportunity to deploy and demonstrate your legal skills across a range of different and high-profile activities.

Pharma Regulatory

• Advising on and managing legal regulatory issues in the context of key business projects, promotion and scientific exchange
• Advising in relation to commercial transactions and technical operation compliance, including due diligence and acquisitions, manufacturing and distribution, inspections and potential product recalls or enforcement actions
• Drafting and negotiating contracts in the R&D space

Legal Commercial – Prescription GBU

• Managing legal scientific & promotional review of materials for the Prescription GBU with other subject matter experts (Marketing, Medical and Regulatory)
• Handling complex commercial transactional matters and assisting in developing and implementing legal strategies on issues related to the Prescription GBU
• Providing timely advice to Prescription GBU’s business stakeholders on legal requirements and Galderma’s policies and procedures

Competition Law

• Providing competition law guidance and advice on key business initiatives, sales, and marketing strategies across Prescription, Aesthetics and Consumer Care GBUs and R&D organization
• Providing ongoing training in competition law requirements for commercial activity
• Monitoring the competition law environment and drive necessary changes to relevant compliance policies and processes

General

• Developing and delivering in-house training and education on relevant legal topics in coordination with other members of the Legal and Compliance Department
• Building ongoing relationships through collaboration with the Functional Departments on the management of legal, regulatory, compliance and other related issues

• 5+ years of relevant post-qualification legal experience gained in a life sciences company and/or accredited internal law firm
• Strong knowledge and deep understanding of and life sciences regulatory laws and guidance and competition law with respect to medicinal products and medical devices
• Demonstrated experience working with technical, scientific, and complicated competition law and regulatory matters
• Ability to work in partnership with business colleagues to identify and implement effective solutions to complex multi-faceted competition law and regulatory issues
• Solution-oriented thinking, flexible and with a hands-on mentality
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to deliver clear and concise guidance and instructions to affiliates, technical, scientific, and clinical teams, as well as other group functions and business areas
• Demonstrated ability to establish collaborative and effective working relationships with personnel at all organizational levels
• Self-motivated and used to working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
