Your field of responsibility


Join us as a Senior Mainframe Engineer, participate in defining/designing the architecture of our current Swiss Electronic Archive (ELAR) and its transition to the target strategic architecture of RIM, ensuring broad strategic alignment with the various internal and external partners, as well as consulting and mentoring developers in technical design, development standards & standard methodologies.

You will be responsible for the successful planning, design, and implementation of various, high visibility projects involving the ELAR platform, ranging from introducing/changing regulatory compliance or risk/control driven functionality to supporting (and possibly driving) the migration of ELAR to the bank’s new strategic platform of records management based on InfoArchive product of OpenText. This work will be carried out in close cooperation with the Business Application Owner team of ELAR. You will have the opportunity to create and maintain a professional and sustainable network with the different partners on all seniority levels throughout the various departments involved.

The Records and Information Management (RIM IT) is a key IT Unit at Credit Suisse helping the Bank to maintain and increase its compliance posture. The solution is based on a market leading standard software and is deployed on premises CS Cloud Server VM with a target of deploying on the new private cloud platform using Red Hat OpenShift. With 45+ (data delivering) upstream applications in APAC, CH and Americas and big data volumes the program team cooperates with most business areas within the bank to ensure the future compliant long-term safekeeping of data in scope of regulations.


Your skills and experience
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field
  • 7+ years’ experience in Records and Content Management tools with senior level technical knowledge of large records management systems is required
  • 5+ years’ experience of production support activities in a Lead position- in the banking / finance environment within a global and matrix organization, with experience of handling ad-hoc requests
  • 10+ years’ experience with Mainframe technologies preferably in Records management domain
  • Experience in handling global incidents involving multiple teams
  • In depth Knowledge of the ELAR and SBIP (Swiss Banking IT Platform).
  • Proven senior level technical knowledge of large records management systems.
  • Past experience in coding in Mainframe languages (e.g. PL1, REXX), Job scheduling (e.g. ControlM) and Databases (e.g. SQL, DB2)
  • Dedicated problem solver with a positive personality and can-do attitude
  • You bring passion and dedication for engineering excellence, experience of driving agile delivery best practice and encouraging creative or visionary thinking in a traditional environment.
  • You are an open-minded teammate with an enthusiastic and motivated personality and proven experience of solving complex challenges
  • Your good communication skills in English allow you to collaborate effectively and to build up professional relationships
