For our Department Make Asset Management (MAM) Optical Inspection and Device Assembly & Packaging Operation we are looking for a

Senior Maintenance Manager (f/m/d) 80% or 100% Pensum

The Maintenance Manager is leading the Maintenance Department to provide maintenance management and services to the manufacturing of Optical Inspection and Device Assembly & Packaging Operation (OIDAP) in a regulated environment. This position provides direction and leads highly technical professionals and technicians that execute maintenance, monitor the operation and compliance of manufacturing and striving for optimum operational conditions to align with company production standards and cGMP. The position is accountable for the development and implementation of innovative technology, for CAPEX project execution, for leading resources and managing peers to deliver budget, quality, and efficiency, and EHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing a maintenance department to support the OIDAP manufacturing department to maximize the benefit to the company
• Accountable for CAPEX project execution in alignment with global Device Assembly and Packaging innovation strategy
• Supports the head of Maintenance Asset Management (MAM) and global partners by defining and implementing department goals and objectives
• Drives efficient and high-quality deployment of site maintenance to ensure reliable and cost competitive operations
• Manages priorities of the maintenance team, meets KPI targets and delivers maintenance in time while respecting both business and standardization expectations
• Utilizes an effective balance of internal and external resources including service providers in compliance with J&J policies including cGMP and EHS requirements
• Accountable for the resolution of technical and operational issues that may arise to ensure a reliable manufacturing process
• Serves as a single point of accountability for delivering quality and safety compliant maintenance services, commissioning and qualification activities
• Finds opportunities (CIP) to improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE), cost-effectiveness, compliance and reduce energy cost of manufacturing assets
• Owns MAM budget - prepares budget, gains approval and is accountable for budget spend
• Develops his/her team and ensure proper training and optimal deployment of maintenance personnel to achieve best-in-class departmental performance
• Participates as active member of the leadership team of the Schaffhausen MAM Business Unit and global MAM LM Platform Organization
  
  

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or Chemical discipline
• A minimum of four years of dedicated work experience and a proven track record in Maintenance/Project Engineering in the pharmaceutical/chemical industry preferably in Device Assembly and Packaging operation environment
• Five years of people management and the ability to develop talent is required / an asset
• Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
• Being persuasive, encouraging, and motivating with an ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, project team members, technical teams and business partners
• Experience in technical and budgetary decisions for capital and maintenance project is required
• Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
• Extensive knowledge of cGMP and GxP regulations as well as technical standards is mandatory
• Deep understanding of closely linked business process in the area of Maintenance, Commissioning & Qualification and Facility Management is required
• Strong business acumen - possesses a good understanding of new Technologies in the field of Asset Management and its overall digitalization deployment and trends
• Self-driven and able to set own targets, ability to set priorities under pressure and team player with influencing and strong analytical skills
• Fluency in English is a must; a very good level of German is important
• This role may require occasionally regional travel, as needed (less than 10%)
