Position Summary
ultraimpact – Make a difference for those who need it most
In this role you will focus on the regional Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) and manage the supply chain parts of new country launches for the regions EMEA & APAC in support of business needs and strategy. You help the team to create and optimize business processes in line with local and regional regulations, and liaise closely with global and regional functions (example: Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, Regional Distribution). In this role, you report to the Senior Director, Supply Chain Europe.

What you will be doing:

    • Collect and align shipping demands for all markets in the regions in close collaboration with Commercial and Medical Affairs organizations.
    • Turn these demands into supply plans to ensure adequate inventory levels in our distribution centers. This includes detailed batch allocation.
    • Monitor inventory levels in distribution centers and trigger replenishment.
    • Prepare meaningful KPIs to support regular reviews with the regional Commercial and Finance organization and organize such meetings and track actions from these.
    • Set-up new supply lanes with internal and external business partners, and act as project manager including change control in our Quality Management System and manage the first shipment in collaboration with our Distribution.
    • Ensure SOPs are according to trade & GxP regulations as well as internal requirements.
    • Provide input to the budgeting
    • Back-up to the Distribution Manager
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (example: digitalization)

What you bring to the role

    • A bachelor’s degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Business, Engineering) or local equivalent.
    • 5 years’ (Senior Manager) / 7+ years’ (Associate Director) of progressively more challenging experience working in Supply Chain roles of a GxP regulated industry.
    • +3 years of planning experience. Strong preference for project management and launch experience, as well as expertise with international shipping of product.
    • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry procedures and regulations including cGMPs, cGDP and other regulatory requirements, preference in different regions.
    • Understanding of regional and global commercial implications including international trade rules and trade compliance.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and negotiation skills. Fluency in English required, and a very strong preference for proficiency in German and French.
    • Practical knowledge of office based tools, ie Office365, Sharepoint and virtual collaboration tools are expected
    • Willing to travel throughout the region(s) and internationally up to 20%
Ultragenyx Work Model: Flex: can complete work from home during the pandemic; once return to the office 2-3 days in office to be expected and established with manager
