Our Financial Services department is specialized on both audits of annual financial statements of banks, insurance and asset management companies supervised by FINMA and the assessment of the compliance with the provisions of supervisory laws (regulatory audit).

Your contribution to KPMG
Lead financial and regulatory audits under international or Swiss accounting standards (CO, US GAAP, IFRS or RVB-FINMA) directly at our clients’ premises
Audit the companies’ compliance with regulatory requirements and duties
Work with the client to create pragmatic solutions to their financial accounting, process, and systems challenges
Be responsible for planning your own engagement and managing employee involved in an engagement
Engage in customer relationship management and help acquire new clients
Act as a first choice point of contact throughout the year for our clients and proactively build a personal external network in the Swiss Financial Services market
Assist clients in the development and implementation of their strategic sustainability initiatives
Preparation of sustainability policies, climate strategies, process documentation or performance evaluations
Support client relationships and practice development initiatives
Actively mentor and coach team members to their highest potential
Create a learning environment through leadership
Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills
Manage teams in the delivery of sustainability-related assurance engagements

This is what makes you successful
Bachelor or Master degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Controlling and/or Audit
Completed further training to become a federal Certified Public Accountant
6-8 years’ experience as an auditor specialized in sustainability reporting
Good knowledge of banking accounting principles applicable in Switzerland
Knowledge of the Swiss regulatory requirements applicable to the financial sector (i. e. laws, ordinance, FINMA circulars and self-regulation)
Good knowledge with reporting frameworks such as SASB, GRI, TCFD and WEF IBC’s Stakeholder capitalism metrics
Interest and aptitude for Business development activities
Excellent knowledge of French and English, German is a plus
Excellent communication and team work skills, strong attention to details
Dedication to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism
