As a Process Safety Manager in our Safety team, you will work in teams to identifying risks, defining measures and ensuring their implementation to reduce the risk of occurring events, that could have a negative impact on the plant, employees, environment and the company`s reputation.

Key responsibilities:

  • First point of contact with respect to plant and process safety, change management and explosion protection for internal and external stakeholder.

  • Check, provide and gather safety relevant documents

  • Check and familiar to prepare Ex-documents

  • Periodic / project review, facilitation and coordination of risk analysis, explosion protection documents, incident reports, safety audits etc.

  • Participation in the discussion of change requests (MOC) and the clarification of the causes of process-relevant incidents

  • Participating and facilitating in Pre Start Up Safety (PSSR) reviews

  • Support and act as deputy EHS manager

  • Advice on operational, planning and maintenance areas

  • Continuous further development of the safety-related know-how

  • Participation in the development and updating of the relevant safety standards

Key requirements:

  • Ph.D. or MSc. in chemical engineering or Chemistry

  • Several years of professional experience in the field of plant and process safety or experience as manager in operations / infrastructure engineer in a chemical production plant

  • Works in partnership as an active member of the team and cross-functional working groups

  • Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate, and foster positive interactions with project team members and stakeholders

  • Implements and demonstrates the highest standards of safety, ability to lead interdisciplinary and international teams

  • Fluency in German and English
