Janssen Supply Chain is recruiting for a Senior Manager - Supply Chain Development Leader position, located at either Titusville, NJ, Horsham, PA, Beerse, Belgium, or Latina, Italy. The role can also be located in Zug, Schaffhausen, or Allschwil, Switzerland.

The Supply Chain Development (SCD) team is responsible and accountable to develop and implement an efficient, robust and compliant end to end supply chain for new products, including their successful launch into the global commercial markets by coordinating the execution of key functional group activities. The SCD team provides representation of the end-to-end supply function on new product teams being led by the Value Chain Leader and provides JSC representation on the Global / Regional Commercial Teams, Integrated Brand Value Teams, and Local JSC Launch Teams.

The Senior Manager- Supply Chain Development Leader is responsible for ensuring the on-time launch of assigned new products into global commercial markets by leading cross-functional project teams accountable for the execution of key functional group activities. The Senior Manager-Supply Chain Development Leader also owns driving consistency across new product launches via deployment of key processes & application of formal project management skills for their assigned launch portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop the global launch end to end supply chain strategy and design for new products, which includes API production, drug product production, packaging, distribution, and physical/financial flows. Lead the creation and execution of risk assessment and launch inventory strategy including driving approval with Senior Management.
  • Build & lead teams to design the supply chain for new products or new markets for established products within JSC & external partners. Build strong partnerships and provide leadership to challenge and influence stakeholder requirements and optimize supply chain processes globally.
  • Drive on-time execution of new product launches globally in alignment with the global launch strategy. Influence and collaborate with Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance and Compliance, Finance, Marketing and CMC to drive successful launch execution in alignment with product strategy. Partner with J&J Deliver to manage distribution and import/export requirements.
  • Potential opportunity to coach rotational positions or manage a small team of Supply Chain Development Launch Specialists. Coaches team to ensure successful delivery of targeted business objectives in alignment with departmental strategies & processes for new product launches.
  • Communicates effectively across disciplines and companies to keep management and key stakeholders informed of project status, issues, conflicts, and mitigating actions as necessary. Collaborates and influences the stakeholder’s senior management, if necessary. Interacts with other functional groups in JSC and with PDMS, PGSM, Regulatory Affairs, Business Development, and Commercial Companies. Is the key Supply Chain representative and a key member and partner to the New Product Team as well as to the Global / Regional Commercial Team, IBVT teams and the regional Brand/Commercial Launch Team. Active participation on the NPT ensuring the supply chain requirements are developed and implemented. The SCDL must also communicate the global commercial expectations as well as local requirements to the NPT.
  • Leads development and deployment of standardized processes to improve supply chain design and launch execution. Contributes to development of departmental strategies. Leverages formal project management tools (e.g. FPX) in delivery of business objectives.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required with a focus in Business, Pharma, Science/Engineering or other Technical Degrees preferred. Master’s or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years relevant professional experience is required
  • A minimum of 3 years supply chain experience is required
  • Pharmaceutical supply chain experience is preferred
  • New product introduction experience preferred
  • Ability to build, and lead global complex cross-functional teams is required
  • Knowledge of regulatory/compliance guidelines is required
  • Ability to communicate effectively to international cross-functional stakeholders and senior management is required
  • Excellent analytical skills and a process-oriented mindset is required
  • Shows attention to detail without losing the high-level view is required
  • Project management skills with the ability to handle complex situations with opposing priorities is preferred
  • People management experience preferred.
  • APICS, Process Excellence, or PMP/FPX certification preferred.
  • This role is located at Titusville, NJ or Horsham, PA, and may require up to 25% of travel both internationally and domestically.
