Your role

Do you have a knack for technology? Are you at your best when supporting others? We’re looking for someone like that to:

  • support the Juniper/ Cisco/Arista network infrastructure at UBS
  • troubleshoot complex network issues
  • uphold high standards for timely issue resolution
  • raise change requests and implement network changes
  • define workarounds for known errors and initiate process improvements
  • maintain a knowledge database
  • be responsible for the support and maintenance of large scale network infrastructure
  • provide hands-on proactive/reactive maintenance and troubleshooting of network data environments
  • review technical infrastructure changes
  • participate in incident, change and problem management
  • develop a “Can-Do” attitude and suggest ways to improve the team performance and increase customer satisfaction
  • develop documentation of technical support issues using the available tools is an essential element of the role.
  • work closely with service managers and leads to provide effective operation support

Your team

You will be part of the Swiss Regional Operation Center (Routing/Switching ) that provides network support for UBS from Datacenter to end user port.

Your expertise

  • proven experience working within high performing Network Operations/ Data Centre teams, ideally in the financial services industry
  • strong technical experience in the following areas is required:
  • JUNOS/ Cisco IOS/NX-OS
  • Juniper Q-Fabric VCF, VC/EX-switch/MX-router
  • Arista EVPN, VXLAN
  • proficient in advanced routing (BGP/OSPF) and L2 switching
  • packet level decoding (Wireshark/TCPDUMP etc.)
  • the ability to work unsupervised in a fast paced, high pressure environment
  • excellent time-management, interpersonal & communication skills
  • ideally Juniper and/or Arista certified
