Optotune is a growing and internationally active optics company based in Dietikon, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial and consumer markets.

Working within our process engineering team, you develop exciting new products by integrating advanced technologies. In the team, you bring the next generation of innovative optical products from idea to production.

Tasks

  • Develop high volume manufacturing processes for production of tunable optics meeting internal targets for performance and cost (throughput, yield)
  • Introduce new production and test equipment where needed including qualification and validation
  • Stabilize existing manufacturing processes using statistical process control methods in IQC, IPQC, OQC and process parameter optimization and transfer them to operations globally with all required documentation
  • Ensure that state-of-the-art technologies are implemented with respect to assembly, automation, and surface technology processes
  • Identify new product concepts, review, and challenge technical solutions
  • Organise and track the work packages for the different teams involved as well as with external suppliers
  • Create intellectual property
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary project teams and inspire team members and management partners to strive for alignment, business perspective and high performance
Requirements

  • MSc degree in Material Science, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Photonics or equivalent
  • Knowledge of MEMS especially in automation and assembly
  • Familiarity with FMEA, Gage R&R, SPC and other statistical modeling
  • Self-motivated, proactive, pragmatic, and eager to grow
  • Strong planner and executer
  • Quick thinker, creative, persistent & empathic
  • Proficiency in English and German desired
