With spend of more than $170 Million SDS categories are highly sophisticated and evolving in nature requiring extensive interaction with key internal business partners, emerging and existing external partners on a Global, Regional and Local basis and other Category / Functional leadership.

The Procurement Senior Manager - SDS EMEA will be mainly responsible for leading Category Management for Distributor Services, Field Force Services, and Call Centers in SDS.

This person will be responsible for building the relationships with key J&J suppliers. This individual will work with key business partners, global and regional category & cluster Procurement leads to develop, coordinate, implement and track Procurement strategies and programs on a regional basis. The position must Shape and Connect to deliver against Category strategies and Procurement commitments. This person will plan and direct activities and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, service and compliance adherence.

Scope Of Responsibilities Include
  • Own the definition of regional sourcing strategies for the SDS subcategories
  • Lead sourcing initiatives above 500k of spend.
  • Identify industry trends and new potential partnerships and solutions to deliver top and bottom-line growth improvement opportunities
  • Develop deep supplier relationships with key strategic external partners to assess performance, identify improvement opportunities, reduce complexity and bring innovation to our business
  • Deliver on critical Procurement commitments around savings; return on investment improvement; innovation; sustainability; payment terms; diversity, equity & inclusion; and effective buying channels
  • Understand operational considerations. Identify business requirements and partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver top line and bottom- line improvements.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required. An MBA, Master’s degree or further education is an asset
  • A minimum of 7+ years of overall experience is required, with experience in SDS Procurement, Supply Chain or related business area preferred.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, being able to fully understand and work with P&Ls.
  • Strong understanding of various Route to Market models.
  • Strong customer orientation (building and maintaining positive relationships with J&J Management).
  • Strong analytical, sound judgment and decision making required, with strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices is required, with knowledge of core Procurement areas of focus regarding Supplier and Category Management is preferred.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skill with ability to confidently present complex information is required.
  • Effective influencing skills and ability to understand and influence individuals & groups required.
  • Working knowledge and experience in Sourcing Processes, Contracting, Negotiations preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering against targets and objectives required
  • Able to prioritize requests and propose effective cost/customer service alternatives when necessary is needed.
  • Ability to show judgment in developing innovative approaches, thinking outside of the box and resolving issues required.
