Optotune is a growing and internationally active optics company based in Dietikon, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial and consumer markets.

Working within our product development team, you develop exciting new products by integrating advanced technologies. In the team, you bring the next generation of innovative optical products from idea to production.

Tasks

  • Design, development, qualification and launch of new products, incorporating principles and concepts from mid to high-volume manufacturing production
  • Technical leadership and consulting to project leaders, project team members and sales personnel.
  • Understand the customer needs and transform them into successful products
  • Feasibility studies and evaluation of new applications and technologies
  • Develop customer products from feasibility to mass production
  • Create intellectual property and contribute to technology management
  • Technical leadership and guidance of product development team members
  • Inspire stakeholders and team members to strive for alignment, entrepreneurial thinking and high performance
Requirements

  • >5 Years experience in product development, preferably in Mechatronics, fine mechanics, or consumer electronics industries
  • MSc/BSc degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics or equivalent
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing is a benefit
  • Strong planner and executer with excellent risk mitigation
  • Quick thinker, creative, persistent & empathic
  • Strategic thinking with ability to effectively engage with large international customers
  • Proficiency in English and German desired
