The Research and Development projects focus on the development of cutting-edge technologies for energy efficient power devices using both conventional and emerging wide band gap semiconductor platforms, with a strong emphasis on Silicon and SiC technologies. Covering all facets of power semiconductor prototyping our interdisciplinary research approach extends from the conception of specific device design over processing in a state-of-the-art cleanroom facility to electrical characterization in an application-driven system environment.   • Develop the next generation of innovative BIMOS IGBTs, BiGTs and freewheeling diode devices
  • Conceive and evaluate design and process experiments to demonstrate novel technological concepts in functional prototypes
  • Design new products with the aid of simulation tools and work in close collaboration with the process development team and product engineering to define the process sequence for prototype manufacturability
  • Technical analysis of competitive technologies and new product benchmarking
  • Handling full range of activities related to the publication of project results and novel design concepts, including the protection of the intellectual property
  • Promote newly developed products at conferences and fairs, in addition to maintain a close dialogue with supplier, customers, universities and research institutes
Your background
  • Excellent knowledge of TCAD tools for physical device simulation such as Synopsys Sentaurus suite and/or Silvaco TCAD suite
  • Experience in semiconductor device design, preferably in the field of high power devices is a plus
  • Sound understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes
  • Self motivated personality with team-oriented work attitude
  • Experience in leading technical projects, and to troubleshot and to analyze complex problems is a great asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English
