The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Coffee (NPTC Coffee) is the leading R&D organization that discover, develop and deploy coffee and beverage products and technologies for in-home and out-of-home consumption. It consists of units in Konolfingen (CH), Marysville (USA), Orbe (CH) and Singapore and provide new products and processes to all Nestlé markets worldwide.

As a “Senior Packaging Specialist”, you will drive innovative packaging projects from design work, up to product launch. You will define and set-up together with a project team, success criteria, timelines and deliverables. In this position, you will get exposure and collaborate cross-functionally with all NPTC packaging teams and with the factories at global level. You will have the opportunity to travel to local markets and lead the projects implementation in the factories.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Packaging Specialist
  • Drive innovative coffee packaging projects from early phase, up to launch with a focus on paper material
  • Define technical specifications, success criteria, timelines and deliverables
  • Manage the implementation and start-up of the project with the local factory teams
  • Contribute to overall project documentation and ensure knowledge transfer
  • Drive and manage suppliers’ relationships
  • Coordinate project deliverables and ensure milestones are reached within timeline and budget

What Will Make You Successful
  • Background in Engineering, Packaging, Materials or in a similar field
  • At least 5 years of operational or R&D experience in packaging
  • Operation/factory experience is a plus
  • Able to coordinate and interact pro-actively in a project team
  • Able to manage stakeholders and influence without authority
  • Able to deliver solutions taking into account the full project deliverables in cross functional environments
  • Strong organizational skills and strategic thinking to build trial and timings for testing
  • Flexibility for business related travels
  • Fluent in English
