Role:
The Project Manager is the point person to lead cross-functional core teams, and to represent them to the various stakeholders. (S)he will provide guidance to cross-functional teams in applying Lean and Agile practices within a development context.
The Project Manager remains closely aligned to senior management (CEO, CSO, CTO, CAO, VP Strategy) to ensure effective and efficient collaboration and communication. This leader will be a key contributor to developing a high performing product development organization. (S)he will be directly accountable for building Spiden’s future Program Management Office.
Objectives:
- Facilitate teamwork and collaboration to deliver results per customer requirements
- Be the voice of the teams; inspire and motivate team members to continuously improve ways of working
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders on planning events, demonstrations, and retrospectives
- Guide teams in decomposing complex work items to enable Agile team backlogs
- Build and maintain the backlogs in collaboration with product management
- Deploy metric-based progress tracking
- Train and coach cross-functional teams in Agile product development methodologies
- Build Spiden’s Program Management function: Identify needed skills and competences, establish a hiring roadmap, identify and hire suitable talent
Project manager must haves
- Personality: highly reliable and committed to deadlines, very execution oriented
- Skill: ability to influence organisation towards high adherence to execution plan - very good at situational leadership btw. supporting coach and beating the drums or escalation
- Had lead and completed cross-functional/cross-domain core teamsover multiple years and projects of >5mCHF,
- Has ideally lead multiple project managers (solid lines)
- Has formal project management certifications (PMP, Agile, SAFe, etc.) and has implemented such in organisation before
- Has ideally worked in medtech/pharma or similar, ideally driving cross-functional high tech innovation projects
Experience:
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
- 5+ years of physical product development and project management experience with demonstrated success leading global teams
- Current Project Management Certification - Agile and Waterfall (PMI, IPMA, SAFe, CSPO, and similar)
- Expert knowledge in SAFe Agile, SCRUM, or related frameworks and methodologies, applied to physical product development
- Desired: Experience in applying ISO 13485 and FDA QS Regulation 21 CFR Part 820 to new product development
