This is a distributed role and can be based in a remote location in Europe : Portugal, Spain, UK, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium,Norway, Denmark, Switzerland etc

The Senior Regional PR Manager will support the corporate communications team members on proactive and reactive public relations strategies. It’s a fast-paced, and influential role within a fun, experienced, and high-energy team.

This role will engage with employees at all seniority levels, specifically in EMEA, LATAM, and occasionally APJ. Working closely with field marketing, customer advocacy, sales, analyst relations, social media and corporate communications, the Senior Regional PR Manager will be responsible for leading and executing high-impact, regional public relations programs that deliver measurable results.

To succeed, the Senior Regional PR Manager will speak Portuguese and is a self-starter with excellent writing skills. You are well-connected with journalists and will develop and deliver cut-through news stories to help frame conversations with relevant media resulting in meaningful coverage in business and industry publications.

The PR output from this role will also support our LATAM sales team by driving customer content to support the sales cycle. In addition, you will help run programs on third-party review sites such as Peer Insights and Trust Radius.

This is a distributed role and reports to the Senior Director, Global Communications, International, who is based in London, UK.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to regional PR program development to drive media coverage in our key media, working closely with subject matter specialists and internal thought leaders. Have full ownership of the PR program for Brazil.
  • Serve as a liaison across the communications team and internal business partners to keep the regional PR program focused, organized, and delivering on goals.
  • Write and copy edit bylines, blogs, and social media content.
  • Ensure the timely distribution of relevant news to key internal contacts and the external issuance of Elastic news on Elastic’s website.
  • Lead and develop a roster of corporate spokespeople.
  • Handle media inquiries and interview requests for regional spokespeople and assemble media briefing and press kit materials.
  • Work collaboratively with external PR agencies to ensure media priorities and objectives are being met or exceeded.
  • Support a thriving global customer advocacy program with a pipeline of Brazilian customers to participate in customer success stories, media relations, events, videos, and more.
  • Create a delivery plan of Brazilian customer assets to integrate into PR and marketing campaigns.
  • Manage and support the creation of Brazilian success stories and videos to completion.
  • Implement a model for consistently recognizing customer activity, track activity, and identify, document, and develop operational processes to support the program’s success.
What You Need To Succeed
  • Experience in PR within the tech industry OR agency experience working with technology / IT clients based in agency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong copywriting and content creation skills is a requirement
  • Ability to translate complex technology concepts into compelling stories
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction, working on multiple overlapping projects to a tight timeframe
  • You think strategically and are highly structured in delivery, able to manage multiple partners and workstreams to drive successful outcomes
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to be successful when working under pressure
  • Experience with managing key local and global stakeholders
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese languages.
