Position

We are looking for a Senior Sales Manager with solid experience in operational sales and business development of bulk biochemical materials in the diagnostic industry. The role will include devising and executing strategies to significantly grow the business with current and new customers within Europe. Moreover, you will be responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and personal involvement in customer relationships with international manufacturers and the chemical and diagnostic industry. This position will report directly to the Business Manager for Pharma and Diagnostics and will be in our site in Aesch/Basel Land.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans as well as drive sales targets through growth of new accounts
  • Act as a driving force and link between market, customer, marketing, technology and development
  • Manage customer inquiries and provide technical advice
  • Collaborate and participate in trade shows and scientific conferences
  • Provide market trend and update for product development on a regular basis
  • Act proactively to seek and develop new opportunities
  • Ensure regular follow-up as required with the customers

Qualification & Competences

  • University degree in the area of biochemistry, chemical engineering or biology
  • 7+ years relevant sales experience in the invitro-diagnostics or medical device sector
  • Knowledge in cardiovascular/ haemostasis therapeutic area is a plus
  • Demonstrated track record of success in different geographical markets
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a flair for developing customer relationships
  • Highly motivated, collaborative and goal-oriented
  • Strong communication skills in English
