Job Description

The Senior Scientist will design and conduct analytical studies of characterization by mass spectrometry in the field of both small molecules and proteins.

More Specifically, You Will
  • Design, develop and validate analytical methods according to guidelines;
  • Perform sample preparation and analysis according to defined instructions (study plan, SOPs);
  • Prepare and / or review Study Plan, Report or Certificate of Analysis to provide quality service document to Client expectations;
  • Organise the daily/weekly work of the Analyst. Support/supervise Analysts on all their responsibilities;
  • Ensure monitoring of science and technology mainly in the field of protein characterization by mass spectrometry;
  • Liaise with other SGS sites to ensure completion of multisite study;
  • Consult with Client regarding on-going work, report content to develop our relationship with our Client.

Qualifications
  • Msc / PhD diploma or equivalent in a science discipline (e.g. analytical chemistry, biochemistry);
  • Relevant experience in protein / peptide characterization using liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry;
  • Fluent in spoken and written French and English;
  • Experience in working in a GMP contract service lab would be appreciated.

Additional Information

This position will be based at our lab in Plan Les Ouates.
