Our success depends on our ability to build an inclusive culture encouraging fresh perspectives and innovative thinking. We embrace a workplace where everyone has equal opportunities to thrive and develop professionally regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, gender identity and/or expression, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, skillset, thought or other characteristics. About the Role

Are you a change agent with a passion for working with people and teams to help them improve and deliver their best work? Then you are exactly the person we are looking for!

Embedded in the Work Environment and Engagement (WEE) Product Area, you will work directly with Agile Squads and provide guidance, coaching, and advice to support their progress on the Agile Transformation journey and adopt Agile values, behaviours, and practices. As a senior member of the Agile practice team you actively support the Agile Coach in accelerating the adoption of agile best practices across the Product Area.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Be a thought leader, providing mentorship and encouragement for more junior scrum masters

  • Constantly seek out and drive room for improvement items for the agile community

  • Nurture the team’s self-organization capabilities, collaboration, feedback culture and knowledge sharing

  • Work with Squad(s) to embed and reinforce Agile practices, i.e., facilitate sprint planning, stand ups, retrospectives and other Scrum ceremonies

  • Measure and monitor the Squad’s Agile maturity and provide constructive feedback to the team to help continuously improve

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and best practices to progress the work of the Squad(s), e.g., by observing and engaging individual squad members

About the Team

Operations Digital Product Delivery (Ops DPD) is a digital product organisation newly established in April 2021 that brings tech and business together along Agile values, principles and mindsets. We are structured around business services of our internal partner organisations, clustered in 3 distinct Product Areas.

Work Environment and Engagement is one of these Product Areas. Its mission is to deliver and manage end-to-end digital solutions which provide:

  • Employees with a safe and supportive environment during their working journey, making them feel part of Swiss Re wherever they are working from. This includes building and workspace, travel, internal/external communications, media production, catering, and hospitality & events.

  • Client facing service excellence, with professional hospitality and an engaging digital experience.

About you

As a successful candidate for this role, you possess:

  • A firm grip on Agile principles and excitement to embed these in teams across the organization

  • Hands-on experience with supporting teams to adopt and live "Agile" and driving continuous improvement

  • The ability and confidence to lead, direct, teach and coach Squad members and other stakeholders without formal management authority

  • Excellent facilitation, communication and people-interaction skills, incl. strong English skills (verbal, written). Ability to communicate effectively in German is a plus.

  • The ability to apply innovative and creative thinking in order to solve problems together with the squad to constructively address challenges and roadblocks

  • Experience in leveraging tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Miro, MS Teams to support effective (virtual) collaboration
