Your field of responsibility


A strategic opportunity to join GTS as a Senior Trader in the Asset-Backed Financing Group (ABFG) to manage the equity-backed loan product for UHWNI clients, responsible for a team of Junior Traders. ABFG is mandated to provide loans against financial assets for private banking clients of Credit Suisse’s International Wealth Management business and the Swiss Universal Bank. The Trading team determines to whom, against which assets and under which parameters Credit Suisse should provide financing to clients, as well as providing guidance on the appropriate price targets. The Trading team is also responsible for the risk management for existing positions and entering into market hedging transactions.

Your skills and experience


We are searching for candidates with experience in lending and private banking, with knowledge of the equity market being a significant asset. Therefore, a background in equity trading, equity derivative trading, credit, equity capital markets, structuring of secured lending transactions would all be suitable for this role. A strong quantitative mindset is important.

  • University degree or equivalent education
  • 7 – 10 years experience in credit analysis, equity trading or secured lending structuring
  • Excellent knowledge of legal agreements governing lending transactions
  • Detailed knowledge of financial accounting
  • Detailed knowledge of corporate finance matters
  • Excellent risk analysis skills
  • Understanding of equity markets
  • Ability to cope with pressure and a high level of flexibility
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to produce persuasive arguments in both verbal and written form
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
