As a central part of our company, our Simulation Team is a competence center that offers support in design, realization and optimization of parts, machines and processes to all Bühler designers and engineers, using state-of-the-art simulation technologies. We are now seeking to hire a highly motivated Senior Simulation Engineer who is a strong collaborator with R&D and a role model for other simulation engineers. Someone who drives simulation topics and offers coaching and mentoring.Tasks
  • You take over the management of simulation projects in the early development phase in the fields of structural analysis (according to internal guidelines)
  • You are responsible for the verification, validation and documentation of simulation results and for the generation of solid, findings-based recommendations, measures and actions
  • Your goals include simulation-based optimization of mechanical designs and processes while meeting cost, schedule, and development targets
  • You are responsible for the continuous evaluation of appropriate simulation methods and tools for expanding the service offering
  • You ensure an appropriate education level by internal and external training
  • You assume the lead in democratizing simulation within the company and offer guidance for simulation projects of other engineers
  • You are a coach and mentor for Junior Simulation Engineers and Simulation Engineers.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in simulation technologies
  • Professional experience in research and development
  • Experienced in leading of development projects (technology, process, product)
  • Proficient with Ansys Mechanical (or equivalent)
  • Work experience in an international business environment
  • Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken)
  • Innovative and creative mindset with excellent networking and communication skills
  • Experience with solution finding or creativity methods
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of additional languages
  • Experience with Ansys Fluent, Ansys CFX, Autodesk Inventor, Python, Matlab, MDesign, LimitCAE, SimScale
  • Basic knowledge in business administration and business development
