For our IT departmentin Pratteln (Switzerland) we are looking for one immediately or by appointment
Senior Specialist - IT Applications Development & Integration , 100%

YOUR KEY TASKS:
    Implement IT applications development & Integration plans and processes to meet business and legal requirements for new and revised systems and programs
    Project management by preparing progress reports and status of key milestones for application development, deployment & integration projects
    Prepare application code based on design specifications, while adhering to defined programming standards, structured coding techniques and methodologies
    Conduct code reviews, identify potential issues and provide feedback
    Plan and implement steps to create and maintain interfaces between major systems
    Identify opportunities for improving application and infrastructure functionalities and performance
    Coordinate, design and maintain a test environment, including data preparation
    Select and apply appropriate tools to manage test processes, validate results and perform various levels of testing appropriate to the environment
    Develop test deliverables in line with pre-defined areas of quality control (i.e. test planning, test preparation, test execution, defect management and test reporting)
    Oversee and facilitate the test process including structuring, facilitating or participating in reviews and inspections
    Resolve and analyze issues in day-to-day operations and implement practices for IT applications development & integration focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency
    Provide support on issues and problems from less experienced/ new team members, provide direction and guidance as needed
    Convince other subject matter experts to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
    Cooperate with and coordinate 3rd parties e.g. external & internal service providers
    Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DPDHL managers
    Understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers and key stakeholders
    Coach, review and support other professionals

YOUR PROFILE:
    You have proven expertise in requirements analysis, software development, programming, testing, user acceptance testing, documentation, SDLC
    You keep yourself updated with technology trends
    You have proven records in configuration management, Systems integration, interface, data modeling, incident Management, System Analysis
    You are also familiar with SQL, Java, PHP, scripting, Oracle and Informix DB
    You have experience in project management
    You think in a focused, analytical and business sense, without losing sight of the needs of our customers and other parties
    You enjoy working across all levels of business colleagues, leading workshops, documenting and presenting to senior Country and European Management as well as Third Party Providers and Customs Authorities
    Your communication skills allow you to build sustainable relationships with customer and business partners
    You are self-driven, resilient and flexible
    You have very good English skills and ideally French or German skills
    Minimum 10 experience in a directly related field
    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
