Your field of responsibility


As a technical Compliance Officer in the US Cross Border & Client Tax Compliance Strategy & Innovation Team you have the great opportunity to assume responsibility for driving strategic and innovative compliance surveillance initiatives using big data analytics to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations related to US cross border, FATCA, AEI and Global Client Tax matters. You act as subject matter expert to collaborate with IT/data scientists to develop compliance surveillance tools to expand data collection and analysis to empower automation capabilities that are more efficient and effective. Further you drive Governance meetings and are responsible to develop procedures with respect to the design and implementation of global surveillance scenarios related to US cross border, FATCA, AEI and Global Client Tax matters. This role with international scope, strong senior management exposure as well as excellent possibilities to grow within the organization will enable you to further develop your strategic and innovative abilities in combination with an exceptional chance to expand your Tax Compliance and business knowledge and to closely interact with partners within Compliance and front business.

Your skills and experience


This role requires a good blend of analytical skills and Compliance subject matter expertise. In particular, the following expertise and experience are required for the role:

  • Higher level education in an area related to Risk / Compliance / Legal, or Economics in general
  • Professional experience in the financial industry, ideally in the area of Financial Crime Compliance, Business Risk Management or Audit paired with a deep interest, passion and awareness for compliance and risk topics
  • Deep understanding of banking products and services
  • High affinity for data and strong analytical skills with a focus on surveillance techniques as well as an understanding of control standards
  • High sense of responsibility and independent working practice, showing initiative and high level of reliability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required, knowledge of German would be an advantage in order to collaborate with different stakeholders
  • Structured, hands-on and results-oriented way to approach challenges to get things done even in dynamic and fast-paced environments
  • Diplomatic and constructive way in collaboration and willingness to contribute to a highly motivated team
  • Working experience in FATCA/AEI or client tax compliance matters as well as Functional Risk Control expertise is a distinct benefit
