Our client, an International Insurance Company, is looking for a Senior Test & Quality Manager. Within the Party Master Data Management environment, our client is building a new central Party Master Data Management system “Z’one”. “Z’one” provides one consolidated customer centric party view and fosters customer centric processes by providing a single point of truth for party master data. Z’one enables to identify and win new clients as well as keep and expand existing customers.

The Test & Quality Manager is responsible for the creation, execution and documentation of the tests necessary to ensure that applications and technical environments meet the requirements (technical, functional and non-functional). Senior Test & Quality Managers plan, organize and control all test activities and are responsible for achieving the defined test goals and implementing the testing, as well as overseeing the associated communication and training activities. Senior Test & Quality Manager has significant solution domain expertise in one or more areas and is responsible for managing test projects as well as mentoring and delegating work to junior test & quality management resources.

Aufgaben

Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures.
  • Review and approve testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability.
  • Review documentation of software defects and assign software developers to investigate and resolve the issue.
  • Review and approve test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
  • Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance or completeness or to mitigate risks.
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
  • Building up and leading the Testing Team
  • Identify and manage test resources and budgets
  • Identification, mapping and delivery of the testing scenarios and test scripts to be used for the integration test, UAT and OAT
  • Ensure a complete E2E testing coverage
  • Manage third party suppliers for testing
  • Ensuring visibility, traceability, and control of testing process to deliver high-quality software
  • Manage transition of testing to production
Key Activities:
  • Manage execution of manual and automated test cases for functional, performance, load, integration, UAT and infrastructure testing.
  • Create and manage the testing strategy and plan
  • Report key issues and risks to the project manager
  • Interact with Business workstream and IT-Delivery team to ensure the E2E testing coverage
  • Coaching of business test coordinators
  • Ensure accurate and complete test scenarios, test cases, test scripts documentation
  • Ensure timely testing activities
  • Manage testing tool (ALM or ADO, Testautomation)
Key Deliverables:
  • Detailed test approach and strategy
  • Test plans incl. resource necessity
  • Recurring status reports
Qualifikation

The following areas of knowledge are mandatory to a candidate to successfully fulfil this role

  • 10+ years expertise within the environment of test management
  • Native or fluent speaking/writing of German and English
  • Expertise knowledge within test management in a Microsoft Azure Cloud environment
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Profound experience in test management within large and complex IT projects, preferably within the party data environment or financial services industry
  • Initiative and self-drive personality
  • MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Visio
Desired skills are

  • Profound knowledge within the areas of Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Docker is a big plus
  • PMP (PMI) or ISBQT certification is a plus
  • Previous experience as software engineer
  • Good Knowledge of Quality Assurance disciplines
