We’re looking for a Senior Treasury Technology Engineer / Engineering Lead to:

  • provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
  • analyse business requirements for the Group Treasury
  • design, plan and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages including Python and Java
  • provide leadership for junior engineers and perform as technical delivery working closely with our business in an agile set-up
  • providing technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications
  • conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC
  • see that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process move from test to production

Your team

You’ll be working in the Group Treasury Technology Team in Zurich. Group Treasury Technology provides the Technology support for the Bank’s Group Treasury and Asset & Liability Management functions.
We support Group Treasury to manage, control and optimize the capital, liquidity, funding and inter-group engagements across the bank and its legal entities.

We are one of the big players in UBS Technology with an important portfolio of programs driven by significant business benefits and regulatory requirements. We have embarked on a journey to revamp the Liquidity and Funding Management Platform based on latest technology and cloud solutions and have lot of interesting initiatives and assignments for our team.

Your expertise

  • software engineer/developer focused on implementing Liquidity and Funding quantitative models, big data and analysis solutions in an Azure based big data environment
  • able to code in Python and Java
  • able to implement analysis tools and dashboards in Power BI and Azure Databricks
  • know-how to apply standards, methods, techniques and templates as defined by our SDLC
  • excellent understanding of data modelling and OLAP principles
  • produce secure and clean code that is stable, operational, consistent and well-performing
  • design, plan and deliver solutions in a large scale enterprise environment based on Azure
  • ability to work collaboratively with key users and stakeholders to run workshops, establish user stories and understand business processes, gather and challenge requirements, and encourage continuous feedback
  • working knowledge of the financial sector and banking products, ideally good understanding of Liquidity and Funding Management
  • mathematical background and ability to understand and implement quantitative models
  • good interpersonal and communication skills
  • bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent with a focus in computer science or engineering
