In our global AutoChem business unit, we develop synthesis, sampling and reaction analysis tools for scientists in pharmaceutical and chemical industries. We provide scientists the information they need to deliver life-changing products.

Join our R&D Testing Team at our global operational headquarters in Nänikon-Greifensee and support the fast growing business opportunity within our unit as a Software Development Engineer in Test 80%-100% (f/m/d).

We are looking for a proactive person who appreciates room for own decision-making and knows to utilize it towards high quality outputs.

In this role, you will

• Develop and execute automated tests on acceptance and system test level in a lab environment
• Develop and maintain the test infrastructure
• Test software developed for cloud, web and embedded applications based on state of the art principles and design patterns such as SOLID
• Ensure that test outcomes are easily accessible, transparent, timely and generated automatically
• Recommend and support quality improvements and changes to testing processes and tools to correct deficiencies and improve efficiency
• Collaborate closely with software development, product management and requirement engineers to understand the intended software behavior and contribute suitable test solutions

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science or related field; or a combination of education and experience
• Some years of relevant professional experience in designing and supporting test automation for complex software products; experience in testing web and cloud based solution is a plus
• Professional programming skills in C#/.NET
• Experience in software testing tools, particularly SpecFlow/Gherkin, SpecSync, Selenium; Kubernetes and Docker are a plus
• Knowledge of best practices and tooling for agile methodologies, automated testing, code quality
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Fluent in English to work comfortably in an international environment. German language skills are a big plus
