Job Description

Improving Digital Experience with Machine-learning based Root-Cause Analysis

Our goal is to use AI to automatically detect root causes behind an issue (such as system crashes, web service unavailability) that is affecting the digital experience of our customers. This is possible thanks to the large amount of data we continuously collect about devices (millions of events per second) such as their type, configuration, and the processes they run and the resources they consume. The goal of the internship is to propose, implement and benchmark several ML models that can uncover patterns from historical data and link them to plausible causes. The model should be able to integrate the relationship between the observed variables (e.g., Bayesian networks) and score -- in a scalable way -- plausible causes according to their likelihood.

The Ideal Candidate Should Be

Qualifications
  • Working towards a BSc/MSc in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Proficient in AI/ML and Probability
  • Hands-on with very good software engineering skills. We expect that most of the work (exploration and prototyping) will be done using Python and AWS cloud tools (S3, SageMaker, ...).
  • Our production code is written in Java, so we expect the candidate to know this language.
  • Ability to work in English (spoken and written).
