The Data and AI team acts as trusted advisors and Analytics, Data & AI subject matter experts with core capability and expertise in Data Modernization, Analytics and AI. We work with customers to leverage data to help them achieve their business priorities and help guide customer’s journey through Analytics-led Azure Data transformation. We also support customers in evaluating their applications and business requirements, recommend solutions that meet their requirements, and demonstrate these solutions to win the technical decision.

Responsibilities

The Azure Data & AI Specialist Manager is a senior leader within our enterprise sales organization. The Azure Data & AI Specialist Manager leads, develops, and manages a team of high performing Azure Data & AI Specialists to drive solution opportunity revenue and market share by leveraging the Microsoft Data & AI solutions (on-premises software and Azure Data services) to meet their customers data modernization, analytics, and IOT solution needs.
Key Areas of Responsibility-
Sales Execution- Leads their team to develop strategies for identifying, driving, tracking, and closing opportunities. Guides and orchestrates their team on communicating with customers to understand their business needs or facilitates customer interactions to assess customer needs, engages C-Suite decision makers to support teams on opportunity discovery and acceleration, and represents their team internally at Microsoft as they engage other internal stakeholders.
Scaling and Collaboration- Guides their team to build a network of new and existing partners to cross-sell and up-sell and coaches their team to learn about and apply the orchestration model.
Technical Expertise- Coaches their team on business and market knowledge and leads their team’s internal collaboration. Acts as the spokesman for Microsoft at external events and supports their team on participating in Microsoft events.
Sales Excellence- Builds and transforms new markets, leads a team to explore business and emerging opportunities in regular strategic planning for assigned territory, lays out customer satisfaction long-term strategies, proactively promotes development of deep and influential relationships with client contacts, guides their team on ensuring customer/partner satisfaction, facilitates the resolution of sales/delivery issues for strategic accounts, establishes standards for customer/partner experiences, and ensures their team meet sales targets and operational standards while maintaining the health of metrics within the assigned territory. Completes required training and obtains relevant product and role certifications aligned to the role and workload/industry while coaching the team on growing knowledge on sales or products and ensuring the team complete training and obtain certifications as required.

Qualifications

Experiences Required:
Has 8-10 years of experience developing high-performing enterprise software platform / cloud platform sales teams and a proven track record of exceeding team quotas/targets at large Software and Cloud Services companies.
Record of exceeding team quotas/targets at Microsoft or competitor.
Successful management of large-scale, complex deal cycles at Fortune 1000 accounts.
Leader Coaching direct reports in pipeline management, opportunity management, and account planning.
Collaborative Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.

Sales Execution- Ability to act as a thought leader in digital transformation across solution areas to advise customers and represent Microsoft. Skilled in leading transformational shifts to drive deployment and create business value for customers, virtual cross-organizational team on strategic projects and high impact solution sales deployments that enable digital transformation and deliver business value. Skilled in providing direction/guidance on the development of solutions across solution areas and support areas; helping the team create vision for the customers, developing plans to drive sales, driving the implementation of strategies, ensuring collaboration with the account team to ensure alignment, leading their team on ways to implement and share close plans to de-risk and drive predictable deal closure.
Scaling and Collaboration- Ability to facilitate the development of partner strategies and internal communication and collaboration. Skilled in ensuring partner execution, providing input and feedback to Global Partner Solutions (GPS) on developing partner strategies and building partner capabilities. Skilled in identifying resources and removing barriers; contributes to the development of the orchestration model.
Technical Expertise- Ability to provide expertise to customers/partners and share knowledge on a specific platform or market. Skilled in positioning Microsoft products, solutions, and/or services against competitors, acting as a thought leader to help their team connect Microsoft solutions to customer business impact, and contributing to setting up the events and promoting best practice sharing across subsidiaries.
Sales Excellence- Ability to leverage technical and industry expertise, partners, and resources optimize portfolio and facilitate customer innovation. Skilled in aligning the analysis approach across teams, acting as a thought leader and clearing opinions and perspectives from business analysis, and interacting with Corporate leadership and senior-level stakeholders to get support for their team and the geographical regions.
Attract, Develop, and Retain Talent- Ability to support mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning. Skilled in identifying growth opportunities, building development plans with direct reports, and conducting development discussions.
Delivers Results Through Teamwork- Ability to partner and collaborate with other teams on related deliverables. Skilled in leveraging others in relevant work streams.
