About This Opportunity

MAIN PURPOSE

The sourcing Dpt. mission for direct purchases (Tinplate, Coating, Inks and Aluminium) is to bring a competitive advantage to Eviosys through the prices negotiation’s, the securisation and the diversity of the sources, the minimization of the working capital, the continuous improvement of service levels from suppliers and the compliance to the regulations and internal rules. Costs, service, quality & processes.

Eviosys is operating in a highly competitive market. Therefore, the Sourcing department has to secure its supplies with the most suitable products at the most competitive prices.

The Sourcing department has a high level of communication with the Business, incl. R&D and Sales and a full alignment with the Business strategy.

The Sourcing Manager - Aluminium is responsible for the development and implementation of a strategy for its commodity in line with the above. The position should become a direct report to the SVP Sourcing after 12-18 months. The position is based in Zug, Switzerland.

MAIN PERMANENT GOALS & MISSIONS
  • To manage the existing contracts and to provide support to develop/negotiate new ones in accordance with the objectives set by the Purchasing Director.
  • To manage the RFQ and other tenders to secure the best prices and knowledge of the market.
  • To develops in-depth global market trend and industry knowledge. Understands key cost drivers of the global category including underlying commodity dynamics.
  • To define in association with the Logistic Dpt the volume & specification requirements, to review against suppliers contracts, to send forecast to the suppliers; to follow-up with plants & suppliers and lead the internal arbitrations.
  • To develop a consistent relationship with the suppliers.
  • To follow closely new customer projects and support Sales for their offers to customers, eventually secure supply, prices and contractual terms.
  • To prepare with the Purchasing Director the Budget/review and the parameters to consider.
  • To discuss the assumptions with the market players and the options with the business.
  • To closely work with the Back Office function to secure the accuracy of the deals and the close monitoring of the prices and volumes.
  • To develop and maintain reporting and control processes (through the ALPS application for the costs, prices and volumes) and team performance.
  • To pay a special attention to the internal customers satisfaction measurement and to the settlement of the quality claims.

ORGANIZATION

The Purchasing Manager - Aluminium operates in the Metal Raw Materials Team with pairs and reports to the Director Tinplate and Aluminium, with the aim to become a direct report to the SVP Sourcing within 12 – 18 months.

Main Skills And Qualifications Required
  • 5+ years Sourcing experience.
  • Strong Negotiation skills, self-starter and result-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational skills with the ability to collaborate, influence and motivate others. Build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Strategic and global thinking
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Supply Chain understanding or background
  • Fluency in English with the ability to work in a multi-lingual environment
  • Experience in the Industry. Packaging and/or Aluminium industry is a plus.
  • Willing to travel frequently
