About you:

You are looking to join the Dow Logistics Purchasing team based in our global purchasing hub in Horgen, Switzerland, as a Sourcing Specialist in International Trade for the EMEAI region

You are a team player that receives a moderate level of guidance and direction while building knowledge of the company, processes and customers.

In this role you:
  • Source and manage a portfolio of international trade logistics services to improve Dow’s cost position and supply security in the market through application of the strategic sourcing process.
  • Provide input to the global logistics buying strategy for international trade logistics (sea freight, air freight, freight forwarding and customs). Implement the purchasing strategy in Europe and Middle East.
  • Utilize business acumen and analytics to drive value from the market and influence stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the negotiation, execution and implementation of commercial agreements and related work processes in accordance with the strategies within the commercial area and/or geography.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to sourcing coordinators
  • May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives locally or globally.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field like Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business Administration, etc.
  • 2-5 years of international work experience in Purchasing, preferably in the Logistics buying category with focus on International Trade.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with applications like, SAP etc.
  • Excellent Data Management skills in a fast pace environment.
