MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Under the supervision of the Head of Sporting Matters - Formula E, the successful candidate will be in charge of the administrative duties for the FIA ABB Formula E World Championship races.

  • The role will also include the administration of the FE Sporting Working groups, FE Committee and the support to the Sporting Management and Direction of the department in official meetings such as World Motor Sport Council.

  • The Sporting Coordinator will also be responsible for monitoring the calendars of the Formula E Championship, appointing officials, coordinating activities and communicating with the National Sporting Authorities (ASNs), Promoter, Teams, drivers and FIA officials. He/she will assist the Head of Sporting Matters in sporting related topics such as sporting regulations draft, information notes and operational procedures linked with the sporting regulations.

  • The position requires to travel extensively worldwide to attend all Formula E races, to ensure the FIA activities and requirements of the event schedule are fulfilled. On sites, the responsibilities will include for example the Management of the FIA passes, the supervision of travel and transfers (staff, suppliers, VIP, etc.) or the active participation in the local staff briefings.

PROFILE:

  • University degree in sports management, management of sporting organisations or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the field of administration of motor sport or other sporting federation activities
  • Strong interest in administrative management
  • Strong interest in motor sport activities and championships
  • Previous experience working with teams, circuits or ASNs (major asset)
  • Previous experience working trackside (major asset)
  • Knowledge of technical concepts and sporting regulations (strongly desirable)
  • Native or fluent English, a second language is a plus
  • A good command of Microsoft Office tools; Sage and Adobe tools a plus
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to travel extensively (about 12 events per year)
  • Ability to work in a team and in conjunction with other departments
