Job Description Summary Fleet Services (FS) Analytics team is a group of innovative engineers who are passionate about applying data and statistics to provide insights into the most challenging business problems, and delivers robust, scalable and quality analytics solutions in enterprise architecture to improve reliability management for the world’s best running fleet. As part of the FS Analytics team, the Sr. Analytics Engineer will help the team collaborate with domain experts and identify the most impactful advanced analytics solutions.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Perform advanced data-mining and predictive modeling studies using state-of the art tools and technologies, with the goal of understanding drivers and signatures of equipment anomalies. These include GE and Non-GE equipment.
  • Provide complex information and data in easy to consume dashboards for general consumption of the business using BI tools
  • Understand business level drivers for power generation from product line and from customer perspective in order to meet their needs and requirements
  • Demonstrate solid engineering and domain knowledge in delivering innovative advanced analytics solutions for power customers
  • Develop, test and deploy analytics that enable 24x7 monitoring in the M&D Center
  • Write Analytics Functional Documentation and supporting technical materials, gather end-user and customer requirements
  • Develop a trusted advocate relationship with customers. Drive repeatability in solution component architectures.
  • Expected to promote and identify new technologies in the data analytics space to stakeholders

Basic Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Statistics or Computer Science from an accredited university or college.
  • First significant experience in Industry (Energy, Transport, Manufacturing)

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in the implementation of applications for monitoring and diagnostics and prognostics software products for end customers
  • Experience in developing advanced analytics with Python, R or Matlab
  • Strong interest in machine learning, statistical analysis, signal processing and data mining
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring of data science technologies
  • Continuous improvement oriented – actively generate and drive process improvements initiatives
  • Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills - effectively evaluate information/data to make decisions; anticipate obstacles and develop plans to resolve
  • Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Effective interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a wide variety of organizations and individuals in global locations
  • Strong Customer mindset and ability to understand commercial and product strategy
