Your ’day to day’

As a Sr Engineer - Design and Change Control you’ll implement and contribute to the development of engineering projects/processes in order to meet the technical and business needs and objectives.

More specifically, you will
  • Drive engineering projects and develop appropriate strategies to introduce new methodologies, processes and innovations, in order to meet business needs. Provide consultation to multiples areas of the organization on the engineering processes/methodologies.
  • Develop business justification, scope, and resource requirements for management reviews and decision making by acting as the knowledgeable resource for bringing projects to realization.
  • Lead all stages of assigned research/engineering projects and coordinate the technical activities of multi-disciplinary or multi-functional participants to meet the identified project scope and objectives required to ensure their successful closures.
  • Participate in regular management reviews and act as technology/engineering specialist and advisor where research/technical information may have a potential positive impact on meeting the strategic objectives of PMI
  • Lead and direct internal project members (and external consultants & vendors when applicable) to ensure project scopes, budgets, schedules and timelines are developed & managed from project initiation until closure, and is compliant to all PMI standards.
  • Review, evaluate and manage large quantities of research/technical information and existing PMI documents. Perform knowledge management via data compilation, review and storage in line with Company, FDA or any other equivalent accreditation authority requirements.
  • Actively participate in strategies development and activity plans, which will build engineering pipeline projects and capabilities for future anticipation.
Who we’re looking for
  • College/University Engineering/Science Degree or Equivalent
  • Meaningful relevant experience preferably in tobacco industry or in a multinational environment
  • Effective communicator, willing to take action, used to work with multiple collaborators
  • Comfortable to work with remote partners with minimal supervision and available for occasional travel
  • Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to learn on the fly
  • Great attention to detail and natural willingness to challenge the status-quo
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written
