Apply your expertise in lean, optimization, and six sigma to organization-wide problems as Sr. Industrial Engineer in the Radiation Oncology Solutions business line. Drive impactful changes across functions in technical and business processes to provide the highest quality products and services at the lowest cost, and quickest lead time. The ideal candidate is someone who watches Formula 1 to see world-class implementation of single minute exchange of die (SMED) in the pit stops.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Leads cross functional process improvement initiatives focusing on hardware and software customer implementation (installations).
  • Designing and implementing business and technical processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Designing the layout of facilities and determining personnel requirements.
  • As a senior engineer, coaching team members on best practices and leading by example.
  • Proposes and implements efficient methods for processes through statistical analysis and lean tools.
  • Determines the optimum process methods to improve key performance metrics including throughput, utilization, cost, cycle time, and rework.
  • Uses structure problem solving tools to identify and solve process challenges.
  • Develops financial plans and cost analysis as part of project proposals and execution
  • Meets all industry and company safety, quality, and compliance standards

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • Expert in employing the latest industry techniques and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience using lean, optimization, and six sigma tools for process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and business intelligence (BI) tools (Minitab and Power BI desired).

Typical Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 8 years of related experience or
  • Master’s Degree with 6 years of related experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification
